Hi, I'm Emily Daily. I'm an LPC Associate supervised by Melissa Tatum, LPC-S. I attended Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas for both my undergraduate and graduate studies. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2019 as well as my Master of Education in Educational Psychology in 2021.
Experience & Expertise
I have worked with numerous clients of all ages, backgrounds, genders, religions, sexual orientations, and so on. I primarily focus in supporting clients who have lived through trauma - whether recent or long ago. I also work with clients who deal with depression, anxiety, and several other issues. I often work with clients who carry stories of strength, survival, and often, deep pain. If you deal with depression, anxiety, or have experienced trauma, whether it’s something you talk about or something you’ve kept buried, I want you to know that you’re not alone, that healing is possible, and that you deserve it. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or exhausted from holding it all together, you don’t have to carry it alone.
Approach
I primarily utilize a person-centered approach as well as cognitive-behavioral modalities. My approach is grounded, compassionate, collaborative, and trauma-informed. In our work together, we will move at your pace. This is not about fixing you - because you are not broken. It’s about creating a space where your story is honored, your nervous system can begin to feel safe again, and you can reconnect with the parts of you that feel lost or shut down. I am passionate about providing a safe and compassionate space where you can untangle painful experiences, reconnect with your inner strength, and feel more like yourself. You have already taken a powerful step by looking for support. When you are ready, I am here to walk alongside you.
Therapy might sometimes feel challenging, but I will remain sincere, intentional, and rooted in kindness with each of my clients.
I sometimes use humor in therapy when it feels appropriate. Laughter can be a powerful tool, as it helps lighten difficult moments, build connection, and create a more relaxed and open space. Therapy is a serious journey, but it doesn’t mean we can’t have some moments of lightness along the way.
I strive to be the therapist I needed at times in my own life - someone compassionate and affirming, yet willing to gently push you toward growth when needed.
Many of my clients say they appreciate feeling both supported and encouraged to step outside their comfort zones, and that balance is something I deeply value in my work.
I greatly value spending time with family and friends, as it helps me stay grounded and connected to the people who matter most. Prioritizing these relationships prevents isolation and reminds me of the power of connection - something I encourage in our work as you build and strengthen your own support system.
Spending quiet time at home with my two cats, Piper (bottom) and Prince (top), helps me stay grounded and present. Their calming presence reminds me of the importance of slowing down, creating safe spaces, and finding comfort in connection - values I bring into our work together as you begin to build (or rebuild) your own sense of safety, self-compassion, and support.
I believe that nurturing physical, mental, and spiritual wellness is essential to living a balanced and fulfilling life. I prioritize self-care practices like regular exercise, outdoor walks, mindfulness, and reflection to stay grounded and clear-minded. By maintaining my own well-being, I’m better able to support you with compassion, presence, and authenticity throughout our work together.
I find great joy and relaxation in music, especially playing the guitar and piano. I have also found it to personally be an integral coping mechanism. Making music helps me unwind, express myself, and stay connected to my creativity - something I bring into our sessions by encouraging your own unique ways of healing and growth.
I love tending to my collection of over 150 houseplants. Caring for them brings me a sense of calm and connection to nature, reminding me of the importance of patience and growth - values I bring into our work together as we nurture your personal journey.
Spending time journaling allows me to slow down, reflect, and connect with what’s beneath the surface. It’s a practice that helps me make sense of emotions, tap into curiosity, and stay grounded in the present - values I carry into our work together. As you begin to explore your own story, I’ll support you in finding your voice, making meaning, and writing new chapters on your own terms.
